To answer your first question, yes, the Sci-Fi channel is broadcasting
the series in the correct order.
And yes, it would be best if you watch them in the correct order. Be
advised that some of the episodes in the first 3 seasons, shall we say,
are lacking in quality. The episodes in the 4th season are probably the
best in the series.
