The Chekov reference was in the review of the film.
I think the point of the post was not to say anything
about the film being reviewed, but to note the use
of the Chekov reference and the fact that Star Trek
characters have become so well known in our culture
that saying something is "as interesting as Chekov
in the sequels" is a reasonably usable substitute for
comparing it to watching grass grow.
