If you take a piece of hard metal, and start shooting a gun at it, it will
start to loose it's strength with each shot. "Enterprise" had the best F/X
of any Trek series, so if they were actually shields, why weren't they ever
shown as they were in all the other shows? Even in "Star Trek: Nemesis",
when the E-E was taking hit's, you could see the torpedoes hitting the
shields. With Enterprise, they would directly impact the hull.
